We were crazy busy this summer. First off, school ended around the end of May i think around the 25th or that was the day we shipped Steven and Rudy off to Uncle Bruce's to build a garden shed which turned into a garden barn. They also went to Scout camp there, corinna had her hands full getting them ready for all their activities, a trip to Manti to camp, see the pagent, and do baptisms at the temple. They also had various other scout activities, and then scout camp in Wyoming with weather those Florida boys never imagined. Then after the boys left we worked with Sam getting his Eagle Project done and the last merit badge finished. Then the next focus became getting Hans outfitted for his mission and all the paper work for that finished. We almost forgot his travel card, and the driving record and international driving license. We ended up going to Utah (July 23) to drop Sam off and order Hans' suits. Then we got to play in the mountains. We ended up not getting Hyrum a ticket it wasn't supposed to be a vacation, (several changes were made which ended up leaving him in Florida and everyone else in Utah at one point) and in the end he stayed with Tanya. So he missed all the fun in the mountains and the trip to Bear Lake. There will be a year for him maybe next summer. Any way Dad flew home with Rudy and Steven leaving Sam at Uncle Bruce's for his first year at college. (august 5) Then Hans and I left for California to see Grandma Williams (August 5). Ada had moved her birthday party/ reunion to August making it possible to link trips and we were able to attend and so was Tasha and her family. We arrived in San Jose Wednesday night, (august 5) Ada picked us up and we saw grandma Williams and then went to Ada's where we stayed mostly for the 5 days we were there. On Thursday evening (August 6) We went to the temple with Albert, Debbie and his son Albert. Mark and Lisa, Nikki, Kirk, Tiffany, and Grandma were there also. Albert is going to The Philippines for his mission. He will go into the MTC in the beginning of September. Where he will learn Tagalog. Tasha arrived early Friday am. (August 7) Then we took the kids to a movie. Saturday (August 8) we had grandma's birthday party /reunion. Sunday (August 9) we all went to church with Grandma. And visited all afternoon. Then back to Ada's . Monday (August 10),Tasha and her family got up at 3:45 am and left for the airport. Hans and I left later in the afternoon. We arrived in Florida after midnight and had an hour and a half drive home. (it is now August 11). THEN Hans had Tuesday (August 11) to pack all his stuff get his driving record and international license, also some last minute shopping, then run up to the Melbourne building to meet the Stake President for Hans to get set apart (7:30pm). Then 4 am Wednesday morning (August 12)Hans flew out to Salt Lake City and to catch the shuttle to Provo, and enter the MTC. Josef and Sarah had helped Sonia move into a town home while we were gone to Utah (starting the first week of August), and then they put an offer on her home and started moving in. So we spent the next 10 days moving our house around, cleaning out all the dust bunnies, well as many as we could since we didn't finish the whole house. Take Rudy to get his license Friday am14 August) Mow and weed eat the whole acre. It had gotten quite over grown while we were gone. It rained like crazy the whole time so no one could mow. Plus work on the Power Box (breaker panel) what ever you call that thing. While we were gone the house decided to shut down and vacation it self. So it got to the point where all the breaker box could handle was the refrigerator, the Saltwater tank, and one TV. That was one reason Josef and Sarah's family were staying at Sonia's old house. The TV was essential since Sarah was packing and moving and it was raining all day, no place for the kids to play. Any way those 10 days flew by. And then on Saturday August 22 at 9:15 pm we went to the airport to pick up Bruce returning from the England London Mission. What a beautiful sight. Sunday am at 4:30 he and i were up visiting and i fixed him a hearty breakfast. He wanted eggs and bacon and pancakes. Then he was too full. He had eaten oatmeal and fruit every day for the past 2 years. But it was worth it it was fun. At 7 we left for Rockledge so he could report his mission, and we came home and had a nice dinner at 11. At 12:15 we went to church. Bruce had to speak in Sacrament meeting. We did not get to stay for the whole 3 hour block. but left right after Sacrament meeting to take him to the airport. (he did get to change into "civilian" clothes). we went in and helped him get to security just to have a few more minutes to visit. Then he was off to Utah Corinna and Matt With Vonn and Rainer in tow picked him up at 8:45 when he arrived. and then it was an hour and a half drive to Logan. They dropped him at Uncle Bruce's where Sam was waiting. Today (Monday August 24) was the first day of school. Bruce had 4 classes and Sam had 2. What a whirlwind . hopefully now things can settle down. except we are bombing our house for bugs so i am cleaning out all cabinets so Vonn can spray. Oh yeah, and Rudy needs a hair cut and tonight Vonn, Sonia, and Josef are at the shuttle launch. So Tanya has the boys (Rudy, Steven, and Hyrum) at her house for Adelaide's first birthday. I am on duty here at Sonia's with the girls. Any way here are a few pictures of the summer.
