Malabar Fire

Late Mother's day we had a phone call from the Young Men's President, Doug Samuels. HE wanted to know if we needed anything since Malabar was on fire. He also wanted to know if we were evacuated. So we sent Dad and Josef down to check it out. This is what they found.
It was very exciting. The helicopter was picking up water from this guys house. and dumping it on the fire, it was also raining water on Joe and Dad. The smoke was thick and visibility was low. Dad an Josef ended up getting on the Bee guy's roof and hosing it down. Embers were falling all around. They also watered down a house to the north. Then they came home too much smoke. They were evacuating people and the Bee guy left. Some people lost their homes. that part was sad. We won't know more until later maybe tomorrow. They brought in a bulldozer and tried to cut a fire break.
