Science Fair

Hyrum has been busy, science fair, music festival, volunteering at his school while he works on his citizenship in the community merit badge, and Math Super stars. He was so excited when he won 4th place in the science fair i could hardly understand what he was saying. He was talking so fast and was so excited. Here he is with his ribbon and his project. His project was in the Physical category. His question was does the shape of the hull of a submarine matter. He made shapes of clay and sunk them in the bathtub, while timing how long it took for them to sink. I guess it does matter. His sphere sunk the fastest. Next year he wants to do the program of choice at Jr High. We will see what happens because i think that meant Steven couldn't take violin, which Hyrum is doing this year. He went to Music festival. You get chosen by your teacher to represent your school. He was the only violin from Port Malabar Elementary . He had a good time performing and we enjoyed the music. I have since checked with the school and they have a place in electives for Orchestra now. HOORAY
